Knitted Hats for Adults

It's that time of year (even though it's so hot) to start thinking about cooler weather and Christmas gifts!! These hats will make great Christmas presents and keep your head and ears nice and toasty when the weather turns cold!

This hat is knit using 100% superwash merino wool (Swish DK from Knit Picks in Moss). The pattern is called Union Long Beanie by Connie Chang Chinchio and is listed in the book Weekend Hats by Cecily Glowik Macdonald and Melissa Labarre. I absolutely love the patterns in this book!!

The pattern for this hat is called Leaves Long Beanie by Melissa Labarre, & is also included in the book Weekend Hats by Cecily Glowik Macdonald & Melissa Labarre. I knit this hat using 100% superwash merino wool (Swish Worsted from Knit Picks in Carnation).

My wonderful sister, Angela, was kind enough to model these hats for my pictures. :)

I'm finally getting this post up about some more baby hats I have for sale! I usually post my hats and other items on my Knitted by Amanda Facebook page right after they are completed, but it takes me longer to post them on here. This striped stocking hat reminds me of Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat, but my husband thinks it looks like Where's Waldo...lol! Whichever you would like to call it, this baby hat is for sale for $20 (not including shipping). It's made out of 100% superwash merino wool (so is machine washable), and is sized for 0-6 months.

This is a stocking hat with a twisted stitch design that is sized for newborn. I used three different types of yarn when I made this hat. The maroon/merlot twisted stitch design and pom is made with 100% superwash merino wool (from Knit Picks). The rest of the hat is double-stranded using Polo dark brown mix (26% cotton & 74% acrylic) & Polo light brown mix (26% cotton & 74% acrylic) that I bought from Yarn Heaven. It is machine washable! I'm selling it for $25 (not including shipping). This brown, green, & blue striped long stocking hat is 20 inches long and is sized for 0-6 months. It's one of my favorite baby hats! I made it using 100% superwash merino wool that is machine washable. This could make a very cute photo prop!! I'm selling it for $20 (not including shipping).
